A few weeks before the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has published Square Enix a “final trailer” for the coming spin-off. Thus, fans receive the most detailed view of the history of the new action role-playing game, which is currently under development at Team Ninja. Stranger of Paradise is a reinterpretation of the history of the 1987 Original – with Garland (the then antagonist) as a narrator of the story. On the other hand, players hatch in the role of Jack and his friends, which we also get to see in the trailer.
According to producer Fumihiko Yasuda, Team Ninja has been inspired by other well-known action role games. These included their own projects such as NiOH or Ninja Gaiden, but also titles of other developers like Dark Souls, Onimusha or Devil May Cry. The makers also confirmed that there will be several levels of difficulty. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin appears on March 18 2022 for PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC in the trade.
