Inti Creates has announced that the trilogy Azure Striker Gunvolt will arrive this year at Xbox. The news was given in a live broadcast focused on the star series of the studio.
The first two games, of 2014 and 2016, are already available at the Microsoft digital store. On the third installment, which is published on Switch on July 28, some information is missing; Until something else is said, we continue to assume that switch exclusivity is maintained, even if it is only temporarily.
It is not the first time that the Gunvolt universe is dropped by Xbox: the spin-offs gunvolt chronicles: Luminous Avenger IX, both the original and the sequel, were published on the Microsoft console. It is the Xbox debut of the main games, which since its premiere in Nintendo 3DS have been going through other platforms (from PC or Switch to PlayStation 4).
Azure Striker Gunvolt is surely the great series of Inti Creates, a study formed in the late 90s by former Capcom employees and took his first steps developing the mega man zero sub-Saga. There is something from Mega Man in Gunvolt, of course, but also more things: they are platforms in which a special emphasis is placed on precision and ability, with many systems designed to enhance the agile and adjusted game.
Always with an eye on the past (his is also the great Blaster Master Zero, who continues the Suzoft series of the 80s), Inti Creates has combined the development of its own games with collaborations with figures of the Japanese video game as Keiji Inafune or Koji Igarashi, with Mighty No.9 and Bloodstained, respectively.
