It’s been months since we’ve had every possible leak on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and while Infinity Ward and Activision just made it official, we’re starting to get a good idea of the content they will offer.

In addition to what we already know as its new DMZ mode or the operators that we can find in the FPS, one of the most prominent Call of Duty leakers has made the critical information public, aimed mainly at PlayStation players.
Modern Warfare 2 should be compatible with PSVR2.
Yes, you read that right. According to the leaker who goes by RalphsVale on Twitter, Sony gamers, and more specifically PS5 gamers, could be enjoying Modern Warfare 2 via PSVR2, apparently at last.
According to RalphsValve, Infinity Ward has ambitious plans for Modern Warfare 2, including exclusive development for PlayStation VR2, with a standalone mode that ” would put fans in the shoes of a Tier 1 operator “. However, at the time of writing this article, the manufacturer Sony, although it has already announced the PS VR2, has not yet revealed the release date of its new headphones, but we could have news very soon through the State of Play planned this same Thursday.
Also, this is not the first time Infinity Ward has tried to launch virtual reality experiences, as it had already offered Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault players. According to cubed3’s review, this experience was a good showing and was very well received by VR gamers. However, Activision hadn’t tapped into its full potential and missed out on something that could have been huge.
Anyway, we will surely know more on June 2 during the next State of Play with, we hope, the announcement of this virtual reality project for Modern Warfare 2. However, RalphsValve clarified that the latter was still uncertain, so we have I take their words with a grain of salt anyway.
Will we have a beta?
According to the first information, several phases will be planned, with, as usual, an exclusive degree reserved for PlayStation players. As a reminder, Microsoft’s giant should buy Activision Blizzard in the coming weeks. Although the license will continue to appear on Sony consoles, this little exclusivity may well end.
