Medi Bayreuth has brought a surprisingly significant success over the Hamburg Towers in BBL. The Upper Franconia sat by 90:71 (49:34) against the hanseats and celebrated their third home win one after the other. For the Towers it was the third defeat in series.
Although the Bayreuthers had to compete without three regular players, they determined the first half. In a strong second quarter, the hosts scored 31 points and were temporarily in the lead with 20 counters.
A short hamburger penetration phase in the third passed through the Bayreuther countered, in the final portion they were constantly double-digit in the lead. Martynas Sajus dominated in the zone, met each of his ten litters from the field and scored 21 points.
The Niners Chemnitz have defended their fourth place with a 81:66 (30:35) outward success against MLP Academics Heidelberg. After the Heidelberger were the better team of the first half, the guests in the third pass through a 19: 2 run the momentum. 51 points after the break were the keys for 13. Chemnitz season win.
